Balance 4 Life is a Learning Center (Dojo) for T'ai Chi, Healing Arts, Philosophy and Personal Growth in the style of the colleges and universities of medieval Europe, that incorporated the teaching of all arts, sciences and philosophies to create a well-rounded or "balanced" individual. We draw, however, on the Taoist model of teaching instead of the Socratic method, where everyone is a student, no matter their skill or ability level while still observing the customs and courtesies of martial arts schools and eastern monestaries.
Also, we have an online store where you can buy shirts, coffee mugs, tote bags and other items that have our logo. New items will be added from time to time. A small portion of each sale goes to support the dojo, so please refer us to your friends.
If closures happen later in the day or if there is any question as to whether or not there are class cancellations due to weather conditions, contact Sensei JT at 920 562 7722.
The 2010 Course Listing (including the Fee listing and Schedule) is available through the first page. The second page contains links to sites that are related to ours or that carry products and information relevant to our teaching.

Our new area at our dojo in Peking House Restaurant has tile floors. In addition, we're getting into colder weather.
To protect your feet and still stay within the principles of T'ai Chi, we recommend that you purchase some T'ai Chi slippers. These are made of all natural fibres that do not impede the flow of Chi and allow you a balance between grip and the ability to slide your feet.
You can find these shoes very reasonably prices online here.
O Karma, Dharma, pudding and pie,
gimme a break before I die:
grant me wisdom, will, & wit,
purity, probity, puck, & grit.
Trustworthy, loyal, helpful, kind,
gimme great abs & a steel-trap mind,
and forgive, Ye Gods, some humble advice --
these little blessings would suffice
to beget an earthly paradise:
make the bad people good --
and the good people nice;
and before our world goes over the brink,
teach the believers how to think.
